Belmont Sharks

The Belmont Sharks is the official 501C summer swim team for Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, Virginia. Belmont Country Club members age 4-18 are welcome to join the summer fun. Requirements include being in good standing with the swim team and the ability to swim at least the length of the pool (8 and under)/2 lengths for those 9 and up, and have a parent or guardian sign up to volunteer with team activities. 

We are continuing our minis program this year, so if your child does not pass evaluations he/she may join the minis team.

Swim evaluations and practices start the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Swim meets are Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. 

We added a minis program last year! It is primarily ages 4-6, but can go up to age 8. This program is for those kids who are not quite able to make it across the pool or tread water. The classes will be 30 minutes and will be going over water safety, how to swim and the different strokes. There will be at least one intersquad meets and maybe  a meet against other teams who have mini programs. If your child progresses to be able to swim across the pool, he/she will be invited to move up. Being in the mini program is sitll being a part of the Sharks so they will get to join in on all team spirit events and activites!
